Bandung, my hometown, is a very interesting place. If you like shopping, you can visit Dago and Cihampelas. In those area, there are so many factory outlets, which apparently attract many Jakarta people who like to shop. These shops are popular for their cheap price. If you go to upper part of Dago, you will see lots of cafes too. These cafes are famous because you can enjoy tasty food and Bandung beautiful view at the same time. The air is cold and fresh, because there is no factory nearby and very limited number of cars, just like in the old days. Another place that you can visit is Lembang. It is located a little bit outside the Bandung city and famous for the cold air, which is perfect for holidays. Lembang is also famous for cow's milk, baked sticky rice, and also strawberry plantations. In the strawberry plantations, you can pick and eat any strawberries you want for some amount of money that you have to pay. You can also eat some foods made from strawberries. The strawberry plantations cause more and more tourists to come to Bandung. Besides that, Bandung is also famous for the tea plantations and the mountains such as Tangkuban Perahu and Kawah Putih. Apart from that, Bandung is also famous for its schools. Bandung has a lot of other interesting aspects too, such as vanous foods and cultural products. |

I have many hobbies. One of my hobbies is reading books. I often go to the bookstore or book exhibition to buy some. One day, I went to a second-hand bookshop. There were books everywhere. Cheap books were in the boxes on the floor. I found a crime story by Agatha Christie and another one by Raymond Chandler. I decided to buy them. I was paying for the books when I saw a big box of old photos. The very old ones were black and white. I saw a photo of three school girls. The one in the middle looked just like my mum when she was young. Then I found another photo of the same girl. In this one, she was wearing a party dress and looked very pretty. I decided to buy both of the photos. Later that day, I showed the photos to my mum. She couldn't believe her eyes. The girl was my great grandmother in her school day. We couldn't figure out how the pictures could get into that bookshop. |

Study Tour to Bali
I was a senior high school when I went to Bali. I went there with my teacher and friends. It was a study tour. My teacher, classmates, and I were in the same bus. We left our school at 8 a.m. The journey from Pati to Bali took a full day. I was exhausted because I had to sit during the journey. But since I spent my time playing games, laughing, and kidding with my friends, I forgot about it We arrived at the Sanur Beach in the morning After seeing the sunrise, we drove to the hotel for a rest and had meals. After that, we went to Nusa Dua Beach. There were so many activities to do, such as parasailing, banana boat, and so on, but I chose to go to a little island with a lot of reptiles in it. There were snakes, turtles, etc. The scenery was beautiful because it was in the middle of the sea. Next, we went to Garuda Wisnu Kencana {GWK). There were two big statues, Wisnu and his bird, Garuda. I was interested in the relief on the rock but I did not understand its story. At the end of the day, we went to the Balinese tea company. We learned a lot of things, from the first step till the end process of making a tea. After that, we went back to Pati and I was really happy to get an un forgettable experience like this journey. |

A fox was boasting to a cat of its clever devices for escaping from its enemies. "I have a whole bag of tricks," he said "which contains a hundred ways of escaping from my enemies." "I only have one," said the cat, "but I generally can manage with that." At the same moment they heard the cry of a pack of hounds coming towards them, and the cat immediately scampered up a tree and hid herself behind the boughs. "This is my plan," said the cat. "What are you going to do?" The fox thought first of one way, then of another to impress the cat. Grasshoppers are insect that can hop, walk and fly. Many male grasshoppers make noise by rubbing their back legs together. There are about 10.000 different species of grasshoppers . Grasshoppers undergo simple (or incomplete) metamorphosis. It consists of 3 stages; eggs hatch into nymphs, which look like little adults without wings and reproductive organs. Nymphs molt many times as they grow to be adults. Like all insects, the grasshoppers have a three-part body (head, thorax, and abdomen), six jointed legs, two pairs of wing and two antennae. Their bodies are covered with a hard exoskeleton. Grasshoppers breathe through a series of holes called spiracles; they are located along the sides of the body. Most grasshoppers are green, brown, or olive-green. The biggest ones are about 4.5 inches (11.5 cm) long. The long hind legs are used for hopping.
